Dublin / Re: Parkinson - Madder families
« on: Wednesday 20 March 24 02:15 GMT (UK)  »
There are quite a few newspaper articles that mention James Richard PARKINSON - I don't have access to read them all - you can find them on findmypast or British Newspaper Archive (both subscription sites). Some seem to involve estate matters, there is a marriage notice for his son Henry Madder PARKINSON, barrister at law to Herietta FLOOD in 1858. James is described as surgeon of Tudor House, Dalkey. He died in 1894, "late of Balltharan House", Wexford.

Eliza died 26 Dec 1871 at Tudor House, Dalkey, her death notice:

These are the children of Joseph and Susanna HARRISON baptised at Heddon on the Wall, in case they followed any naming traditions:

1740  Alice
1743/4  William
1744  Sarah
1749  Mary
1751  Matthew
1754  Joseph
1757  Joseph

Presumably you think he was from Heddon on the Wall as there are a number of children baptised there with parents Joseph and Susanna from 1740 - 1757 (all on FreeReg). Joseph HARRISON buried at Heddon 13 Sept 1776, no age given:

Cornwall Lookup Requests / Re: Breage Baptism - WILLIAMS

It certainly is very tricky. Who are the witnesses on the 1864 marriage? They may offer a clue.

Unfortunately as he was born prior to civil registration, his mother's maiden name is unlikely to be recorded on his baptism.

So difficult with such a common name! There is also this 1841 census with parents William (35, tin miner) and Jane (35) at Trew, Breage:

Modified to add:
Another family - William (65, tin miner) and Elizabeth (45) with son William (14) and family. Interestingly there is a COCK family next door, though no Selina there in 1841.
