About Ewart and Harold….
I realize your original query has been answered but I found these records about the boys that might be of interest to you if you don’t have them. Better you have them twice than not.
The boys are in a Middlemore Home in the 1911 England census and travel to Canada later the same year as Home Children. The first 2 records indicate the family was deserted by Charles which would explain his absence from shipping records and you now, of course, know who Edna’s father was. Ewart is down as Edward on some records.

Harold was sent to Nashwaak Bridge, Ewart to the same area.

I haven’t found Ewart. He doesn’t yet seem to be with the family he was going to (or possibly wasn’t recorded).

It is possible to order copies of the Middlemore Home records.
Alice and the girls left England in late 1912 and apparently ended up in Nashwaak Bridge, where Edna was born, so presumably Alice was reunited with her sons at that time.

EDIT: one record was inadvertantly duplicated…I have replaced it.
