Thank you Koumann thats a help. On the 1911 census he actual says he is from Snelston.
1881 was Mugginton like you said, 1891 was just Staffordshire and 1901 was Ellastone. But seems highly possible that he was born illigit and in Snelston.

Harriet was more consistant as being born around 1850/51 in Longton Staffordshire. When I found her in 1861 with parents Edward and Mary i thought I was on to something. Found Edward (now Edwin) and new wife Mary poss on the 1851. Harriets 2nd son was Edwin Woolley Kent. So I think I will have to look elsewhere for answers.
Thanks for your time and efforts.

I can't find any Adam Woolleys in Staffordshire on either the 1851 or 1861 census. I wonder if its been transcribed wrongly. Non of Harriets children or grandchildren have the name Adam which is also a bit strange. Will keep looking.

Damn it I was hoping it would be Edward or Edwin as I found a likely match for her on the 1861 census with father as Edward. No father for William though which is interesting as I don't think he was full age at time of marriage. He was a good few years younger than harriett.

Thank you Koumann

Hi,

I am looking for details of a marriage between William Kent and Harriett Woolley which took place in All Saints Grindon, Staffs. In 1876. Hopefully someone can find a record for me that would give there fathers names.

Thank you Anjo

Tipperary / Newspapers available at public libraries

Hi,
Is it possible to access the newspaper called the "Tipperary Vindicator" in a library? I have seen an article online from 1849 that I want to access without paying and wondered if the library would be my best bet and if so which library please.

Thanks Anjo
