HI, well I  have Peter Cameron born 13 October 1845, John 1853 and Catherine 1855 Simon 1857. the story is that  they could only take 3 children with them and left Peter with other family. The other kids are Mary 1848, George 1850, and  Margret 1852 who died on the ship . This is interesting
As Peter Cameron that was left behind arrived in Adelaide 1883 on the Arthurstone  Ship
the story unfolds as Peter was born 1845-10-13 parents married 5-09-1845.Father Peter born (1821)is the one I am trying to find out about, just giving you all the information I have if it help
Cheers Gail

Hi, yes you are right I found their Marriage and Ann's batpised dates but no other information.
I worked out that Thomas was born maybe 1820 and Margaret about 1832. What are births like
to fined  in the  years  that  I need .in that  That  do you think?  or I am just happy with Enniskerry.Cheers Gail :) :)

Yes it is great news , my question is should I start with church  records, in Wicklow  or Enniskerry
as that is were they were married .Thomas was 35 and Margaret was 23 in 1855. I am hoping to
go to Ireland next year. so I can "find my Roots " :) :) :)
Keep in touch Cheers Gail.

Hello, Lady Haywood, I just going  though my notes and found you and I  thought would let you know something I found out .You helped me quiet a lot with Thomas and Margaret GAGHEN. but we got stuck. It was my fault. the letter I received in 1996 stated that the Gaghens came on the Grand Trianon ship  1855  but Was wrong. You were on the right track .The ship they came on was the "Fitzjame" arrived in Adelaide 31st December 1855.and had their daughter Ann with them. So the records that you found was for them  in Enniskerry.   I let Cando know also . As these are the books in the south Australian library and the S.A.H.S.  The first Thomas and Mary were from Galway
So in the olden days when people looked it up by hand, they would have just thought it was them.
So now the harder part is "who are their parents "and "where did they come from". Family History  has come along way  with hard work from all. if you can help let know what you need.
thank you and Cheers Gail
