1871 he is on board 'racoon'. 1881 on board in Scotland.  Not got a marriage cert but know  he married Emma .

Can anyone help me find William before 1871.  William born in 1848 was a seaman and can be found in censuses from 1871 saying he was born in St Stephens in Cornwall.  I can find nothing for him before this.

He did marry Emma Cooper in 1913, then he seemed to do a runner, was in the army in WW1 then married in 1919.  Am wondering if it was a bigamous marriage or was he divorced.
