Dear Celia,

William would have been living in Wallasey at the time of his death as his 4 children with Mary Thompson were all born in New Brighton.

With regard to your amrriage certificate, my suspicions are that the transcription of the original hand written text is incorrect and Sanson should in fact read Lawson. A flowery L looks like and S and a small w can easy be read as a small n.

Hope this solves your problem.

So her maiden name was indeed LAWSON.

Richard

Dear Celia,
My William Baron was born in 1864, so the ages on the deaths you have uncovered do not match.

He was buried some time after 1920 and likely before 1930. so some time in his late 50's and early 60's.
It is only through relatives written accounts that I know he was buried In New Brighton Cemetery, which I have assumed is Rake Lane.
William probably did not get his name changed legally, so you are no doubt correct that he would have been buried as a BARON.

Regards
Richard

Celia,

Are you still looking for info on Mary E Baron born 1872 and Clara Jane Baron born 1877?

Dear Celia,

New Brighton Cemetery - Rakes Lane

I am trying to track down the grave of William BARON born 1864 in Blackburn, but buried sometime after 1920, but I would guess no later than 1930. I have tried all the usual routes of ancestry.com and FreeBMD with no luck.
He may have changed his surname to THOMPSON for personal reasons.

He married Mary Thompson in 1910.

Are you able to help.

Thanks
Richard Baron
