Hi Sid
I would be interested in knowing why the Clarksons felt the need to disown Henry for marrying Lydia. It was probably money & social status as the Harris family were just farm labourers in Faccombe which is an estate village.
My data is an excel file is there anyway to send it to you? I am new to this list & not sure if I am allowed to give you my email address?

Hi Tropicalj
I noticed that you are researching Townsends in Broad Blundsden & wondered if I could ask for some help please?

I have a Margaret Townsend who marries Thomas Hall 2.10.1788 Broad Blunsden & is bu there 9.5.1844. Based on death cert & 1841 census I have a birth date of c1758.

Does she tie into any of your families?

Sorry JoJoe I didn't mean to confuse you.
My John & ELizabeth (6xggp)have 5 children that I know of all christened at DStM.
Jenny ch 1731, William ch 1734, Sarah ch 1740/41, Ann ch 1745 & Elizabeth ch 1747/48.
I think that the William ch 1734 marries an Ann, surname unknown, & they are parents to the children I listed in my previous posting, which include a John who is ch 1776 (There are 5 other John Wyatt's christened in DStM but none of them are close to the 1775 date you stated). I do not have a marriage date for William & Ann but given the dates of their children they could have married c 1770 which would make William 36 years old & then he would be 58 at the birth of his last child George which is possible.
I also have 4 children for John & Susannah Wyatt in my DstM notes , John ch 1805, Anne ch 1806, Lucy ch 1807, Jane ch 1809
