Hi,
Please can somebody look up Charles Sinnock (b abt 1788 in Hailsham) in the 1841 and 1851 census for Hailsham?  He may well be mistranscribed as Sinnsck in certain 1851 transcriptions.

Sussex / Richard Sinnock, nonconformist shoemaker
« on: Saturday 15 October 05 17:28 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
Does anybody have any information on Richard Sinnock (1762-1822).  He lived in Hastings, London, Guildford and Battle and has been described as a nonconformist shoemaker.

He began a cordwaining business in Hastings in 1762, but moved to London in 1785 in order to join a dissenting sect, and subsequently to Guildford. In 1799 he moved to Battle where he built a new house adjoining the Baptist church which he attended. He was active in promoting the founding of an Independent congregation in Hastings which culminated in the building of the Croft Chapel in 1805, for which he provided the land. When there was a split in the Battle congregation, Sinnock remained with the fifteen representatives of the original Baptist Church and services were frequently held in his house. This group flourished and in 1821 a new meeting house called Zion Chapel was built on land given by Sinnock.

Does anybody have any more information on Richard?

Chris,
I couldn't help but note that you have access to "An exact list of ye inhabitants of Westham, Sussex, July 1751".  Could I impose on you to look for any Foord (or Ford), Crowhurst, Rhodes (or Roods or variants thereof) or Sinnocks?

In particular, I am hoping to find a William Foord (who married Elizabeth).  William was buried in Westham on 22 Jul 1819.

Canada / William George Thomas Milton (d 1933 in Montreal)
« on: Saturday 17 September 05 20:53 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
I am trying to find any traces of William George Thomas Milton in Canada.  He was born on 16 May 1893 in Brighton, Sussex to George Milton and Rose Plain.  He married Edith Annie Spratt in 1918 in Somerset, England.  They had one child, Gerald William Milton, in 1927.  Sometime shortly thereafter William and Edith separated and he left for Canada.  According to the LDS website he died on 30 Jan 1933.  The source of the information is "Record of members, 1900?-1930; Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Montreal District (Quebec)."
I am trying to find out anything about William once he arrived in Canada and would like to learn who registered his death.

Any ideas?

Regards

Mark
