« on: Wednesday 23 September 09 14:25 BST (UK)  »
Hi, I'm trying to find anyone searching for Twaddle mainly in Lanarkshire.

Some names I have so far are -

George, born 1801, married Catherine Crawford.
Thomas, born 1848, married Agnes Haddow.
George, born 1873, married Margaret McTaggart.

Would love to hear from anyone looking into this family

Regards,

Lanarkshire / Anyone else researching Twaddles?
« on: Saturday 19 September 09 06:29 BST (UK)  »
I am wondering if anyone is researching the Twaddle family.  I have got back to George Twaddle, born 1801 in Carmunnock, Lanark.  He married Catherine Crawford on 30 January, 1835.
They had several children, with my interest being Thomas, born 1848.
Thomas married Agnes Haddow in 1869.
What I would really like to know is if anyone has done a family tree of these Twaddles.
I do hope a chatter out there can help me here.
Cheers,
Ozdot.

Immigrants & Emigrants - General / UK Incoming Passenger List, look-up please
« on: Tuesday 14 April 09 09:50 BST (UK)  »
Would someone who has access to A......'s UK Incoming Passenger list please look up one of my rellies?

She was my great aunt, Charlotte Elizabeth Mulliner, born 1873 in Pimlico, London.

In 1912 she went to the USA on the "Caronia" ex Liverpool.  The very kind person who tracked down her entry into America also found a Miss C E Mulliner on the Incoming List to Port of London but with no other details.

I am curious to know if Charlotte did indeed return to UK as she was not listed on the 1920 US Census.

Her sister, my grandmother, Maria Louise has successfully hidden herself behind a brick wall so I am trying to find out something of her twin sisters, Charlotte and Frances.

Any help with this look-up would be much appreciated.

Dot.

I am trying to trace a great aunt of mine who may have emigrated to USA around 1912.
She was Charlotte Elizabeth Mulliner, born Sep 1873 in Pimlico, London.
There was a whisper in the family that she may have gone to New Orleans.
Any help on this query would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
.Dot.

Northamptonshire Lookup Requests / Mulliner marriage look up please.
« on: Wednesday 25 February 09 10:14 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
I am searching for details of a marriage between Joseph Manning Mulliner and ??Ann Shaw?? about 1827 in Northampton.

They had two sons that I know of, namely, Thomas Shaw Mulliner born 1832, and Joseph Mulliner born 1829.
I really would like to find out for sure if Joseph Manning and Ann were the parents of the two boys.

Thomas was my great grandfather, and his father, as shown on his marriage certificate was Joseph Manning Mulliner.

I am hoping someone will be kind enough to help me here.

Cheers,
Dot.

« on: Thursday 19 February 09 04:26 GMT (UK)  »
Hi,
I am trying to find any details of the parents of Kitty Palmer, born 1796 in Oxford.  She was married in 1823 in St Giles parish so am assuming that is around her birth place.

Hoping someone has access to these records and would be kind enough to look this up for me.

Kind regards,
Dot.

I have a spare certificate of marriage between Thomas Shaw Mulliner and Maria King.  They were married 19/7/1870 at the parish church, Hanover Square, London.

This a spare that I sent for by mistake, when it arrived I realised that I already had one.

Don't we all have these moments???

Let me know if you would like me to forward it on to you.

Cheers,
Dot.

Lincolnshire Lookup Requests / Death look up - Wills.
« on: Tuesday 03 February 09 01:57 GMT (UK)  »
Can someone help please with details of the death of Martha Wills between 1881 and 1891?  She was born about 1852 and is on all census's, the last one 1881.

She was living in Grantham with her husband Thomas Wills and children Minnie and Sarah.

In 1891 Thomas is listed as widower with children Minnie, Sarah, Thomas, Charles and Richard.  Richard is listed as 8 years old so Martha must have died sometime after his birth.

Hoping a kind chatter can find this one.

Kind regards,
Dot.

Derbyshire / Widdowson's of Barlow
« on: Sunday 01 February 09 01:14 GMT (UK)  »
Is anyone researching this family?

There seemed to be quite a lot of them and I am at a standstill with Thomas - on 1861 shown as a blacksmith born Chesterfield and wife Martha born Barlow living in Sheffield

In 1851 the family are in Great Barlow, except now the 'head'
is shown as Godfrey.

Godfrey, age 12, shows up in 1841 in Chesterfield.

Have I got the right thread anywhere???

Do hope someone can put me straight here.

Kind regards,
Dot.
