The 1841 gives the following Frances living in Newington around 1814:

Frances BROOKMAN 1811 Ind living Newington, Hythe with poss father
Frances CLARKE 1811 Ellens Place , Newington  prob wife of William
Frances PATEMAN 1813 Pond Place, Newington with poss son WIlliam 3
Frances CHEESMAN 1816   The Street, Newington, Miltonwith WIllam aged 35 but too young to be mother of oldest child aged 11
Frances WILLIAMSON 1817 Mill House Street, Newington poss wife of WIlliam, dau Lydea 3
None in Tong.

 I want to see more on the reasons why those ag labs pulled up their roots and the effect on real families.


I agree, I think that was why the Jeremy Paxman programme was so interesting.
There are many differents aspects of social history which could be investigated through genealogy.  It made Britain what it is today.

While fascinated by the large number of immigrants who came to Britain and their impact on our country I do not enjoy travel programmes.

You haven't mentioned dates but have you found any of these people in the Bristsh census 1841 - 1901?
