Sorry, didn'y read you last post properly.

From the 1851 census it looks as if George was born in nearby Nettlestead but I can't see his baptism there either.

Wateringbury baptisms 1758 - 1875 are on the IGI.

Can't see William HUTSON although there are plenty of later HUTSONS.

Yes I've tried those links - as you said the problem is finding a large scale map showing individual houses.

I have Comyn's New Forest which shows the houses in 1810 but I don't think the house I am looking for is there.

Does anyone have a copy of Sway Snippets?  Does it have any maps?

I also need to look at the tithe map but that requires a visit to the Hampshire Records Ofiice and I'm not nearby.
