Sad news indeed; shall not forget his knowledgeability and good humour. A huge loss to us all.

An appreciative footnote: your advice was just what was needed and a total success. Thanks both and best wishes for 2021.

No copywright issues - compiling a review of local clubs/societies for my community newspaper I find the editor can't open an image accessed from a Chrome web page; I have found free and paid-for conversion programmes by Googling but don't want to pay and don't want to download any dodgy software. Is there a simple solution? Grateful for any help. :)

A weekly family quiz has become a regular event via Zoom; one of our tech-savvy daughters set it up. Good way to include grandchildren (our youngest being 8), 5 questions per team, weekly theme (next week food and drink). Last Sun we exceeded the free 40 minutes but were allowed to finish free. Teams dress up in costumes of their choice to reflect the theme. Great fun!

Search for Cwrt & Llangeinwen; "Cwrt" is not uncommon in Welsh for a dwelling, but rendered as"Quirt" by non-Welsh-speakers. It is, of course, a borrowing from English "court".
