Perhaps Atherstone Library, Long Street, Atherstone may be of assistance.  They do say that there is a local studies and family history section.   :)

There's obviously more than one account - FindMyPast have The Durham Chronicle - Friday, 9 October 1903 - inquest on death of Ada Parker aged 38, widow of the late G Parker, master butcher of Seaham Harbour.

I agree with rosie99 - we need a location.  I'm assuming Nottinghamshire  :-\ :-\

Cornwall / Re: Birth and marriage not found

If you use FreeBMD then you can limit the births in 1970's to "Tann" in Cornwall.  If you find the forename of the particular person, then that will give you the maiden name of the mother.  From there you can then look for a marriage between Tann and ????

Nothing showing, with connection to Cornwall, in FreeBMD, nor Ancestry for Sydney Tann.  However, there is a death in Cornwall for Thomas Sidney Tann, plus birth and marriage registrations for Thomas S Tann in Cornwall/Devon.

Thank you, mare.  I can now see so much more than I have been able to for years, mainly unfortunately dust and cobwebs.  Back for post-op in a few weeks.

Many thanks for your good wishes.  All seems to be OK, although a slightly different reaction than the left eye.  Yes, I have my "table" to record the drops so that I don't forget them.  :o

ADDED:

And congratulations RTL on retrieving your money.

It's all getting weirder here in England.  Today the weather started wet and windy, then calm and sunny, then we've just had a spell of strong winds and hailstones, and now brilliant sunshine.

AND tomorrow I'm having the second cataract removed - just hoping that all goes as well as the first removal a few weeks ago.  :-\  8)

AND - 16.49 we have hail again !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh dear, I'm getting a little sad, aren't I?  :-X
