I am chasing a convict who I think may belong in the family tree and am wondering if there is anything over there that may confirm his date of baptism, precise place of birth or parentage or even what became of him?

John IFIELD age 36 (collar & harness maker) tried at the East Kent quarter sessions 2 Jan 1838 and transported to NSW via the "Bengal Merchant" 24 Mar 1838 for 7 years for stealing a pig.  He was of Illawarra when granted a ticket of leave (NSW Government Gazette 20 Sep 1842)

Any help/advice appreciated.

I am looking for a marriage James HANCHETT to Ann somewhere in the years 1805-1822ish.  James was born Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire and was in the Sawbridgeworth/Bishops Stortford area for the baptism of earliest known child 1822 thereon.  Ann was possibly born Isle of Wight according to the census and I couldn't see the marriage in Herts.

The surname is variously spelt ANCIENT/ANTINET to name but a few.

Any help greatly appreciated.
