Thanks for that how will I find the Maiden name of Mary A Smith, Alfreds mother so that I can obtain a birth certificate.

I am trying to find any information about my grandfather Alfred Smith.
I have his death certificate stating he died July 17th 1927 aged36. He was in All Saints Mental Institution.
The death certifciate showed Wilfred Watson, son in law, registering the death and an address in Sparkhill.
I then looked up address and found out Grandfathers sister was called Mary Ann Smith and their father was Samuel Smith.
She married in December 1922, she was a 34 year old spinster.
I dont believe my grandparents married. The story is because my grandfather was already married.
My fathers name also Alfred Smith born April 1922 his mother was Alice Waldron.
Please can anyone shed any light on this family, like the name of Samuels wife, Alfreds mom.
Any help would be appreciated.
