There's an Elizabeth C Staples born 1866 with a George in East Ham 1939 but that could be correct spelling and not your couple.

I don't think the one I found is yours if a birth year of c1867 is correct.

There's a marriage in Jun 1894 Kensington Eliza Christine Nichols ** to Hearn or Spicer - she may have had more than one husband prior to marrying George.
** Eliza Christine Nichols born Mar 1855 Kensington so not the right age for yours (if that was the same lady marrying in 1894)
Added - it was the same lady, she was 38, spinster, father Edwin. Groom Frederick Richard Hearn but all that is immaterial if she isn't the right age for your lady!

So Eliza was almost 60 when she married? Seems likely she was married before so Christie wasn't her birth name.
