Hi Colin,

Hate to tell ypu that I know that Nellie is not Winifred Prewett, my nan's sister. I have to many photos of her, and knew her.
Also Arthur J Prewett died whe he was 7years of age.
I have a tree on ancestry, which you may be referring to.
Not sure how to search on ancestry on folio ref. How do you do that?

Me again. I don;t know if this is relevant, or just lying on documents, because of Mary Prewett being unmarried.

Winifred Prewett baptism record ; 22nd April 1900 St luke Chelsea
Father Arthur James Prewett - shopkeeper.
The birth cert is blank for father.
So is my nan Helen Prewett
She also had another child Arthur James Prewett born 1st nov 1901 Chelsea
He died 1907
No father mentioned on the birth cert.

On my nan;s marriage cert, the father mentioned is Arthur James Prewett - commissionaire

So is Jack Prewett Arthur Jack Prewett?

I also thought that Jack Prewett was the one who married Florence, and brought my nan up. But the postcard and marriage picture, are taken around the same time, Cannot be one person.

Hi,

Winifred Prewett was my nan's sister. My nan was Helen Prewett born 19/02/1911, Wallis Yard workhouse, London.
The name Dowse came from a marriage photo, and on the back was Dowse.
I matched the lady with the other photos I knew was Florence Prewett.
I posted this photo a few days ago, and was dated around 1920, I was informed Florence must had been a spinister because of the wedding dress.
