William Pilling 2 yrs second son of William Pilling, Chemist and Victoria Elizabeth Ann. He is born in Salford.
In 1881, he is boarding at a school in Ashton (nearby).
In 1891 parents are in Manchester, Ancoats where dad is the Chemist at Provident Dispensary but no sign of William.

I think that's him Heywood. Their first daughter was named Margaret Victoria PILLING.  Margaret being Annie DONNELLAN'S mother and Victoria for Williams' Mother..  it all fits ty

Am trying to find the parents of William George PILLING who I think was born  Burnley Lancashire 1868. Here is his marriage notice  ..
PILLING-DONNELLAN.-On the 7th June, by the Rev. E. G. Day, at his residence, William, second son of William Pilling, Holly Bank, Manchester, to Annie, third  daughter of Thomas Donnellan of Kapunda.. Adelaide South Australia Advertiser 13 June 1892

William JANE died 7 Jul 1864 age 44 at Maitland NSW of Consuption according to Death Certificate

Jane JANE took her family to Melbourne and the name changed to JAYNE where she married Edward Hickson and she died 1891 Carlton

Elizabeth JANE/JAYNE born 1851 Newcastle married William Henry SIMMONS on 8 Aug 1871 Creswick Victoria and had 11 children
William Henry JANE/JAYNE b 1857 Newcastle married Amelia BENNETT 1877 Creswick and had 8 children
John Nettle JANE/JAYNE b 1859 Newcastle married Abigail CROCKER 1882 Creswick and had 7 chilren
Martha JANE/JAYNE b 1863 Maitland married Charles John COLWELL 1883 Creswick and had 7 children

I dont have a photo of Alexander but I do of his brother John b 1858 who is my ggrandfather.
Alexander was married twice. His first wife Jane Harper died 13 Dec 1898 Saint Giles,Edinburgh, and
a daughter Jane married William Paxton 1914 Musselburgh

Yes .. James Conquer & Christina Margaret Mouat. I have your dad as well I think born Aug 1938 at Rondolph Crescent Edinburgh.. cant mention name here and his marriage in Oct 1958 Musselbough. I also have 3 children one of which could be you all born Leith sons 1960 & 1963 Daughter 1964. Your grandmothers mother would be my Margaret Falconer Smith who died 1974 Inveresk Road Musselbough. If you are one of the sons then we are 3rd cousins

My Grandmother was a Fife Dewar .. Charlotte Crichton Dewar born 1881 Kinghorn,Fife.
Her mother was a Crichton who go back to Markinch Fife. The Crichton's Castle was south of Edinburgh.
I was in Scotland for the gathering of the Clans in Edinburgh and met the Dewar Clan Chief and of cause was offered a Dewar's Whisky or two lol.
I have The House of Dewar 1296-1991  .. The Fortunes of Clan Dewar by and signed by Peter Beauclerk DEWAR

James Robert CUNNINGHAM c 5 Jul 1839 Cellardyke married Margaret DOIG C 15 Dec 1831
on 18 Apr 1862 Cellardyke. they had 4 children.
Margaret Doig died 3 Jul 1888 Cellardyke and James Robert came to Aust with his son Thomas CUNNINGHAM b 16 Feb 1870 Cellardyke.
James Robert CUNNINGHAM  died 4 Nov 1912 age 74 Geelong Victoria
Thomas CUNNINGHAM married Jessie Eliza Stephens b 20 Feb 1869 Ballarat, Victoria on 30 Sep 1897 Ballarat and had 6 children that I know of
Thomas died 1932 Melbourne East
