Hi Mike

According to the Hearth Tax Return of 1674, Joseph was living in Pettistree and paid tax for 4 hearths.

Doesn't answer your question I'm afraid, but every little helps! ;)

Hi Mike

The PR for Pettistree was quite difficult to read around this date so I looked at the Bishops Transcripts instead, which were much more legible but quite cramped together.  Also indexed by surname though, so have copied all mention of Weaver/Weavers.

Sadly though, Joseph Weavers' baptism wasn't there, and I may have only copied things you already know about  :-\

Baptisms of children of Joseph and Thomasin Weavers:
1 June 1674 Thomas
27 March 1676 Sarah
1 Dec 1679 Joseph
12 June 1683 Mary

Baptisms of children of John and Hester Weavers:
24 June 1743 John

Kind regards
Anne

Hi Vaughan,
As the original poster of this topic this couple have been a sticking point for me for quite a while.
The snippet you have may well throw some light on them as all my work has been focused on Pettistree, can you please let me have this info.
