One other point...

Going by the 'naming sequences' among my Rees ancestors...Margaret's father is likely to have been a 'Lewis'. (If these are the right ones:-)

Ist son named for husband's father,
2nd son named for wife's father.

Romilly.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I have the records going forward, but it was the information on Margaret Harri(e)s that I was unable to find.

Ken

I would try having a look for her with Lewis Harris, - possibility for her father's name?
Another possibility is that her mother might have re-married?

My subs to Ancestry have expired, but if you request a Look-up on here, I'm sure that someone will oblige!

Romilly :)

Hi everyone...I'm new here so please bear with me.  I have a William Lewis (b. about 1816) and Hanna Owen who married April 12, 1834 in Llangfelach.  They had children Hanna, William, Mary, Elizabeth, Jane, John and Ann.
Elizabeth is my great-grandmother.
Would like to share data with others!

David

Hi Dave,

And welcome to Rootschat!!

Do you have your Lewis's on the various Censuses for Wales yet? And do you have any dates for your G/Grandmother?

Best Wishes, Romilly.
