Yes, I have William Lewis on the 1841 census (fiche #17-023-023)

The only data I have on Hannah Owen is her daughter's (Elizabeth's) birth certificate.  Elizabeth was born September 24, 1841 in Llangyfelach and died in the US (Pennsylvania) June 26 1895.  I'm guessing Hannah was born between 1816 and 1820 or so.
Elizabeth married Joseph Rees November 12, 1861 at the parish church in Llangynwyd.

Hi Romilly,

Thanks for your PM - sadly I don't think we have a connection as my Rees family were from Carmarthenshire, not Glamorganshire.

Could have been good there for a second though! ;D

Maybe next time.  ;D
Ambrose; Llandilofawr, Pennsylvania.
Grindley; Llandilofawr, Ohio, Louisiana, Washington DC.
Rees(e); Pennsylvania.

I live in hope that one day one of my Llangyfelach Rees's will make contact on here, - there must be quite a few of them out there... ;D ;D

hi, i believe we may have a connection, my relation elizabeth williams born 1841 married William Lewis b 1836 llangyfelach, they had 8 children. i am willing to share any info i have with you.
william lewis was a coalminer.

It is possible that we have a connection but I have no other data on William Lewis (b. abt.1836 Llangyfelach) that would confirm this.  Is your William Lewis the son of William Lewis/(b. abt. 1816) and Hannah Owen?
