I noticed you are also researching MORREYS of OXFORDSHIRE.
Wondering if we have ancestors in common???
John Morrey b 1803 at Bodicote married Mary Leach 1854 at Banbury where John was the Innkeeper of the Ship Inn.
Son John George b 13Dec1854 at Banbury. He married Mary Eliza HORWOOD 10Jun1879. Soon after John and Mary Eliza moved to Australia - details of ship not known at this stage -
The family lived in Western Australia for a few years in the early 1990s but mostly lived in Victoria. They had four children -
Ethel Mary b 1880 died 11Jan1900 in Perth aged nearly 20 years.
Mabel Frances b 1882 married John Henry Teather
George and
Norman William b 1887 - he is my friend's grandfather.
Norman married Ethel Elizabeth Bailey 24Mar1910 at Prahran in Melbourne and son Graeme William MORREY 'Bill' was born 24Jun1923 (my friend's father).
Hoping there is a connection here
Regards
Vicki
