William Scott married as you said Elizabeth Elliot on 30th may 1873 he was a shepard.

His parents were listed as being James Scott aged 32 ( also a shepard) and Helen Scott nee Hogg

Elizabeth Elliot aged 34 her parents were listed as being John Elliot (PLoughman) and Sibella Elliot nee Harster (sic)

will keep looking for any further info and come back to you

Best Wishes

Thanks Mo,
Sibella Elliot maiden name was Hunter - she was born in Langholm, Dumfries Scotland,September 26, 1828.

I just can't find any ref. for William or Elizabeth.
I'm assuming William Scott was a postmaster in Selkirk but could be Rox. or ?
Hope this helps.
