Hi Peter and Daniel

I am interested in your Rhodes family member. Do you know where she was born? I ask because I have a stonemason James Rhodes in Potternewton, Leeds, b1816 in Wigan, Lancs. I cannot find any trace of his birth, although he was over in Yorkshire by his early 20s.

Martha Rhodes was born in 1840 at Kirk Deighton to James Rhodes (b. ca. 1803, Wetherby) and Hannah Dalby (b. 1802, Linton). I can't see any connection with your James. Rhodes would be one of the more common names in the north of England.
