Thinking about it I think I have a picture here of Samuel somewhere which I inherited from my grandmother and grandfathers estate 😀

Hi Michelle  you are not far from me then as I am in Poole. I will check what photos I have as another relative sent me some. Do you know anything about the Luckes garage/showroom in Plymouth ? I have some photos of it.

Happy New Year

Hi there
I would love to see any photos, especially the ones of the Luckes and Son garage as that was my grandfathers garage he designed it along with his brothers Derek, Alec and William and his sister Nora was also involved. The garage started in Peverell in what was then No 1 Onslow Terrace now Road as a bicycle shop they then moved to crow hill where they bought the garage on the corner of the village shops which until recent years was Kevin Coopers but back then was obviously Luckes and Son. They then moved to the city centre where they bought a bombed out area and designed the Luckes and son garage there which my dad informs me was built on a platform and did not have foundations. I have seen the plans for this in the archives in Plymouth.
We should communicate through email if you are happy to do so?
My dad asked who your parents were 😀
