Hi V,

You might be interested to know that there is a Dockyard in Pembroke that once thrived.  I have some info on this area - do you have an address?

I also have family members that moved for their jobs in the Dockyard including my hubbie!

Hi Jackie

I did know about the Pembroke dockyard, but unfortunately I've no address. I didn't know about the Devonport connection until the 1851 census went live on Ancestry, I thought her parents might have still been in Pembroke, but they were in Sheerness, born Devon, with all the children born in Pembroke! Jane was born in 1826, so no birth certificate  :-\ just parish records, and I live rather a long way from Sheerness or Pembroke!

Just one of those things....

WILSON (Edinburgh)
among others.....

Hi V,

Looks like we'll have to keep plugging away.

If I get any info especially pics I'll let you know.

Thanks for your help.
