Yes that is him we were able to trace back his great great great grandfather to Thomas Timmons Sr who was born in Ireland.

Hello, I am back to researching my Timmons line. With the recent DNA testing at FTDNA (recent for me anyway) we have found many matches to various Timmons lines. My brother took the YDNA 67 and we recently upgraded him to the BigY and YDNA111. Waiting on results for those. Anyway, my line is from Abraham Timmons who is absolutely related to John Morgan Timmons line, probably through a brother or cousin of John's parents or something, and other's. There has been debates on which Timmons came from England and which came from Ireland. I am positive my line came from Ireland. My dad remembers his grandfather talking about his grandfather, Wingate W Timmons, and called him the little Irishman.

If anyone is interested in joining our FB group that is centered around Timmons DNA and genealogy there are people from the Timmons/Timmins family joining and more everyday as we reach out to Timmons who are researching their origins. It has been helpful. We have some people comparing the DNA and are excellent at matching up the family lines.

Rachel, there are some Timmons from John Morgan's line in the group as well. I was talking to him, Chad Timmons, and he has a lot of information. You may already know most of it but maybe you two could exchange what you have. I will post the link to the page. It is focused on the Timmons DNA. There is another group that is excellent that is focused on the Family History side of things. We do exchange family history on the DNA group as well. =)

I am also interested in if anyone has any information on Timmons marrying into the Wright family. It would have been very early, 1500-1600's either in Ireland or England.
