 Hi
I am also interested in the Brewer family from Cranborne.
On my great great grandfather David Still/Steel's marriage certificate
it said that David Brewer was his father so I have been working away on this family to try and find out which David Brewer it was. How I wish I could go back and ask David Steel's mother Charlotte Steel who it was.
I expect she would tell me to mind my own business don't you. I wonder if you have found a David Brewer in your family tree/ Kind regards Christine

Hi
I have in my tree that George Brewer  christened 13 Feb 1814 married 9 Dec 1841 to Cranborne Jane Miller

George was the son of David Brewer who married 19 Jan 1807 Cranborne Mary Amey born 25 Dec 1785 Cranborne died 11 Jan 1831 buried 14 Jan 1831
David Brewer then married Mary Hayward 6 June 1831.

David Brewer was the son of Phillip Brewer born 1704 Edmondsham Dorset who married 16 May 1762 St Giles
Elizabeth Hiscock they had seven children. If you wounld like more about this tree I can copy it for you

I looked for birthdates on my disks and found
Lewina Brewer christened 31 Aug 1854 Cranborne father George Brewer mother Jane. was Lanna misspelt?)
I also think that this David Brewer maybe the father of David Brewer born 1803 who was a preacher!
It must be one of these two who could be the father of my
GR GR Grandfather David Steel. but which one was it.
Don't think I will ever find out which one.
I have more of this Brewer tree if you want it.
Kind regards Christine.

Hi,
I am still trying to figure if the family I sent you, is the one related to my tree.

In the 1881 census I have
Frank Brewer  1854
Sarah Brewer  1849 Martin Wiltshire ( Nee Warwick)
Myra Brewer  1878
T John Brewer 1880
Alice Warwick
George Warwick        all Cranborne

I found Alice and George in the 1901 Census However I am unable to find Myra Brewer and T John Brewer.
I did find a  Frank Brewer 1851  but married to Louisa 1865 with
Ellen Brewer 1894   dght
George Brewer Brother 1841
Gilbert Brewer 1890  son
Mabel brewer Dght
at the moment I do not have access to the 1871, 1891 census

On the free bdm, there are a few Sarah Brewer  deaths so I am at a loss,
Hope you can help me
Regards Tracey

Hi Tracey / Christine,

I am also researching my Brewer family from Edmondsham, Dorset.
and I note that you have a Phillip Brewer / Elizabeth Hiscock.  I also have this family in my tree, but I have Phillip as beening bap. c1740 not 1704 as you say, is that a typo error ?
I can also find only five (5) children,  the last one being David, (c. 1787)

If you have further info I would love to have a copy.

Regards,
Tom Brewer.       bb1984@picknowl.com.au
