Hollingbourne lookup please

Could someone please look up the baptism of Sydney ROSE in Hollingbourne in about 1882?
Also, were his parents married there about a year before that?

Do you know for sure he was baptised?  If so - which church and on what date?  Baptisms could take place any time from weeks/months and even years after a birth

Julia, Please confirm parents names as John Rose b 1851 Kent, & Jane b 1851 Hoxton Middlesex - as gleaned from 1891 census. Why might they not be married in the wife's parish

Yes, it's John and Jane Rose I'm looking for.

I can't find their marriage, or Sydney's birth, on Free BMD. My local library (in Australia) only has GRO records up to 1880.

John Rose was living in the village of Hollingbourne in the 1881 census (although his stated age of 27 conflicts with his baptism date of 13 Jan 1850), and as Sydney was born there within the following year, according to the 1891 census (can't find him in 1901) it's a reasonable guess that his parents married there.

The 1881 census shows a Jane M Evans, unmarried, aged  29,  born in Hoxton living in Deal, Kent. Could this be John's future wife?

Found birth index for Sydney Charles ROSE at Hollingbourne vol 2a page 697 for qtr 3 (Sept) 1881

but no marriage of a John Rose at Hollingbourne 1879 - 1881
