I am looking for anyone who has connections with a Private William Edwards.
who died in active service in Dar-es-Salam. he came from Cheshire.

  Can anyone help please??

Black country ancestors.... Beesley, Tranter, Fellows Barker, Perry, Evans, Glover.

thanks Annie, but there are 1600 plus william Edwards and the key words have no effect.

 I am trying to find his forward ancestors as i have something that belongs to them!

 will keep plodding!!

 With regard to Driver William Edwards. An ancestor of his was living in Kingston upon Hull in 2001.  Do you know them????

Hello Mack.

 Yes I think you are right. I think, hope that this is the man I am looking for.

 But I am at a loss as to how to go forward with my searching..as I need to find his family and come forward into the 1900,s  maybe even the 2000.

  I need to know so much more about him.

 for instance why was he in South Africa
 and how did he die when the War was over???

sorry but ime useless at civvie records,i came on here to learn from you nice folks,if a man wanted to fight with the canadian,NZ,australian or south african forces,he was free to do so,would an enquiry in the cuddington papers help,mack
sorry i forgot,there was still some fighting going on in africa,but its likely he died of disease

  appreciate your coments. I know i ought to look at the more up to date records but just hoped you might help me short cut!!
 Yes, he more than likely died of  something nasty but what ever it was his parents had a special memorial made for him and it is that that I am trying to return to any  or one of his decendants.

He isn't there but im pretty sure its them. Living in Cuddington.

John Edwards 1856 Whitley,Surrey.
Fanny Smith Edwards 1858 Newcastle, Staffs.

Albert 1894 Cuddington
Amy 1892 Cuddington
Beatrice May 1889 Norley,Cheshire
John Alfred 1887 Cuddington
