1901 Census for Nanaimo, BC, Canada
« on: Saturday 10 December 05 05:19 GMT (UK) »
Thought it would be a good idea to have a Canadian thread.  In a Nanaimo Information site, I have added a message on folks that were in Nanaimo, BC, Canada
in 1901 - my group included persons with the ZELLEY and SAVAGE names.

Moderator Comment: Moved here from "1901 Leftovers" Board
Zelley,  Lovell, Godbold, Woods, Phillips, Lewis, Emery,
Magee, Baker, White. Flisher, Kyne, Tilston, Valence/Vallens,
Mabb/Mabbe, Bellamy, Selley, Martha Smith, Arno (of Dartmouth, Devon}.
Dorset, London, Warwick, East Anglia, Kent,  Devon
North Wales

The ancestors lived here and there, in many scattered
places, with various occupations

THANKS, that was a great move.

I have also mentioned the widows KENYON and CORDELL
along with the widow Elizabeth (Baker)  ZELLEY.

All three lost their husbands in a boating tragedy in 1900.
But, from the 1901 Census,  life goes on, and today
the names John CORDELL, Richard KENYON and
William ZELLEY are still with us in name, on a variety of sites
and in the archives of various newspapers.

Do you know anything about Henry and Emma Crewe beside what is in the Census and BC archives.  Henry was my Great Great Grandads brother.
