I am posting these websites as I find them and hope I am not duplicating any of them.  I can't do much typing anyway, as I have RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) and need to stay off the computer but it's very hard. >:(

I finally found one lot of ancestors (the URENs) on board the Edward Oliver and Jalawar.

I am sure I found EDWARDS and BROPHY on some passeger list that I checked and guess what ............. my puter crashed and I lost everything .............. so now I have to start all over looking for them. >:(

It might have been around the same time as the URENs arrived - I can't remember, but it might also have had something to do with Esme Bull's book "Aided Emigration to South Africa".  Would someone be able to check for me if BROPHY and EDWARDS are mentioned in the book as emigrants to South Africa from the U.K.??

Thanks muchly.

For emigrants from Scotland to North America, Australia, etc there is a  year-on-year compilation of ships known to have left a Scottish port, or holding Scottish passengers, from 1680 to 1910 . Most of them with links to online passenger lists , at:

www.scotlandsfamily.com/ships-passengers.htm

All links checked July 2013
