The Steyne School in Worthing

My Grandmother attended this school as a child. Does anyone have anything on it, perhaps where any records may be found, student lists etc?

Hi there,

Just googled it and got this site: It's the steyne school in Findon, which is within the Worthing general district:

http://www.findonvillage.com/0527_schooldays_in_findon_from%201900..htm

Hope this is what you're looking for - it's an interesting site.

Not sure this is the one Mark, It looks like the Findon School in Findon village, the Steyne School my grandmother attended was actually in Worthing.

Hi there,

I think (although don't quote me on this) that the Steyne School is now a Church next to Steyne Gardens in Worthing, it became Davison All Girls School, which still exists but has moved to a different part of Worthing (I went there!)  I'm not sure if the school holds any records but the contact detail can be found here ->  http://www.davison.w-sussex.sch.uk/default.asp?ID=7

This is about the history of the school but it doesn't mention anything about Steyne School
http://www.davison.w-sussex.sch.uk/default.asp?ID=9

I live near Worthing so if you want a photo or anything PM me and I can easily whizz over there in the New Year.

Best of Luck
