help , search for Brannan ,Wexford

   I am looking for any information regarding the name of Brannan/Brennan etc for my family tree. I have a Mosses Brannan/Brennan( varant) born circa 1816 from Wexford and he married Mary ..... ? who was born circa 1819. They moved to England and worked on the Canals of Lancashire,Wigan was their base

They must be the same family but Mosses` age differs probably due to 1841 census.(i have been told they went to the nearest whole No. eg. 47 --50, 42 --40 etc a) I found a Mary Brennen/on/an. in Wigan 1861 at a sister in law . thank you Claire for  getting this

I have a Moses Brennan/Brannan in my tree he is my great great great grandfather.
 I have spent quite a bit of time on him so if you want to know anything let me know and we can see if we can work it out together

thanks for the reply, as for any info on him I would appreciate very much .

  I have Moses` and family from 1841 to his death in 1885, Liverpool ,drowned .

What I don`t have is any Irish history of him .

I do try to get info. on the family also but don`t have much time to search (too many hobbies).

Ohh now I didnt have a death for him, found loads of records about the boats he were on and when they had changed the names on the deed things and knew he died between 1881 and 1891. And shows he was the Master of herbert the boat on 8 Jun 1895 and shows he was master of Catus in 1886 which is confusing.
How did you find out about his death?

I have him married to Mary Green b abt 1820 Ireland and she died in 1899 and she is buried in a cemetery in Wigan. I went to go and find the grave as some of her children were buried with her but looks like a lot of the graves have been removed.

Just to complicate your life, you need to be aware that Moses is the same name as Aiden/Aidan and also Mogue. The same person can appear with any or all of these apparently different (but in reality the same) names.
