Hi no such place as Llangumwg in Carms is obviously mispelt .Did however find John on 1851 census in Penderyn Brecknock and on that census it states he was born in Penderyn Brecknock.Best Wishes Karen

I have had the parish register out for Penderyn Brecknock and John was not Born/Bapt there.
His brothers and sister were bapt at Salem Chapel in Roberstown Aberdare. Parents address given as Penderyn. but no John.

So back to the 1861 census Ref RG09 piece 4067 folio 23 page 39

John Lewis of 38 Dean St Aberdare, please can anyone read where he says he is born?

Thank you
