WINN - 1841/51 census
« on: Tuesday 10 January 06 22:47 GMT (UK) »
Looking for Thomas WINN and wife Mary, born c. 1800.

His daughter Cicely was born in Snape (Christened in nearby Well) in North Yorkshire. I had been looking for Thomas around there with no luck.

Cicely married in Huddersfield and I have her on the 1851 census, so maybe the family moved to West Yorkshire. (I have a family I think could be Cicely's brother, also in Huddersfield)

So could anyone see if they can find Thomas for me. His occupation on Cicely marriage certificate is farmer.

In 1841 Cicely would be 17.

Hi
Thanks for the info. I have got this, and believe this Thomas is likely to be Cicely's brother.

Yes, my Cicely did marry John Smith, a joiner and they lived just a few doors away from the Thomas you found, on Bradford Rd., Huddersfield.

Thanks again.I'll keep looking.

Regards, Gill
