Gaelic & Cornish groups

Whilst it's obviously great fun to have the Irish / Scottish / Manx / Cornish language groups, and a great hoot to write in a way that over 90% of the audience cannot read, but doesn't it put the information shared there out of reach to those who might be researching those geographical areas but who do not speak those languages?  The Welsh group even states

Posts in this section to be in the language of Welsh only. Posts in English will be deleted.

I thought that the whole ethos of Rootschat was to share information, not hoard it in an exclusive and secretive corner.

I speak as someone who has learnt Scottish Gaelic, but I fear that there may be a touch of elitism in those groups ... and how many who contribute to the groups do not also speak English?

Regards
