1841 Cadoxton? - Richard & Jennet Richards
« on: Friday 13 January 06 19:46 GMT (UK) »
Could sks please lookup Richard Richards and wife Jennet/Janet on the 1841 census?

They should have a son, David age about 3 with them, possibly a newborn Edward....... On the 1851 census, Jennet (stonemasons widow) is living with sons David (1838), Edward (1841) and daughter Lucy (1846) in Neath Abbey, Ystradgunlais, Cadoxton Juxta Neath, Glamorgan.

Jennet was 38 on this census so born c.1813 Neath Abbey.

Also can anyone can find a marriage record for this couple or their christenings (is would seem they were both from the Neath Abbey/Cadoxton area)

Thanks for any help
Catherine  :)

I'm currently researching Taillwyd area of Neath Abbey which includes Heol Draw and Taillwydon.  I am looking for any stories relating to families that lived there.  If you have any I'd be delighted to hear from you.
Hare (Pembrokeshire and Glamorgan), Stanford (Glamorgan), Hodgson (Lincolnshire and Surrey), Sugden (Keighley and Worcestershire), Griffiths (Kidwelly and Glamorgan), Collins (Kidderminster), Evans (Cwmavon), Mainwaring (Llanedi and Cwmavon), Rees (Neath), Jones (Resolven), Paddison (Neath), Davies (Crynant), Bevan (Tonna).

Hi
There's a marriage entry on Nov 5th 1831 at Cadoxton Juxta-Neath for a Richard Richards and Jennet Williams bachelor and spinster both of the parish, both signed their names and witnesses were John & Jane Harris.

There's a baptism on Sep 5th 1837, for the son David Richards born to Richard Richards, a Mason and Jennet Richards of Tai Newyd Court Herbert.
