Can anybody tell me what the name of the newspaper is in Warminster and is there a site where I can view the old copies online as I live in Australia.

Any help would be appreciated. ???

A google search (warminster newspapers) brought up this site: http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/community/newspaper_search.php?community=Warminster

I tried rooting around the sight but couldn't see anything about archives, but you may be able to find addresses for writing to.

hope this helps.

Hi there,

I am moving this question into the Wiltshire Board so it will be seen by those with experience researching in the area.

Good Luck

Kazza.

The local newspaper is called the Warminster Journal, but I am afraid I am not aware of it being online.

Searching for

Woodman (Frocester, Great Rissington, Slimbridge, Aston, Birmingham, Bedford, St Albans)
Phillips (Aston, Birmingham)
Crow (King's Lynn, Hull, East Ham)
Gillett (Moreton in Marsh, East Ham)
Jellyman (Coaley, Birmingham Anywhere in Worcestershire or Staffordshire)
Hopkins (Ashleworth, Westbury on Severn)
Curtis (Gloucester, Aston, Birmingham)
Drinkwater (Castle Moreton, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire)
Jackson (Essex)

Plus many more
