Hello Lesley

PM sent - my  son is descended from them.  I have them back two generations,  and forward on my sons line till today.   Have various siblings from the IGI.  Have some census  various BMDs -  a good 4 generation photo - forward, from one of his sons - Robert Amos Turner.  Am transcribing it all as part of a family tree for my mother in laws side.

Not a line I've followed greatly.  However your post has spurred me on to it.  My current research is into the family of a Henry Richardson Lawrie who used to be a schoolmaster at Eckford, married to a Jane Thomson and then Ann Bennet - total of 12 children.  My son is descended from him.  This line ties in with the 'my' Mitchell/Turner a generation on, when Robert Amos Turner, marries Janet Mary Lawrie on 03 July 1908.  Good old Rootschat  :O)
