Ettrick Kirkyard is complete and now available on CD through www.bordersfhs.org.uk  with digital photographs.
Further down the valley Kirkhope cemetery has now been finished and will also be available shortly as above .This cemetery has never been recorded before.
Both also available through Selkirkshire Antiquarian Society who previously recorded Ettrick Kirkyard in 1963. Each CD contains war memorial lists ,Militia Lists for Ettrick and Yarrow. Kirkhope has also School list mid 1850s.
for your info

Hi Alan14578,

re Ettrick Kirkyard.

I am tracing the Amos Family

Elizabeth Amos who died at  5 Trevallen Terrance, Hawick ,1912 age 23 was my Great Grandmother.

After visiting the kirkyard myself i found an error in the information you have been given.

"James AMOS,d. Upper Tofts Hall,Hawick,6.Apr.1914,age 73." should read "JOHN AMOS"

I am srtuggling to find his parents who are THOMAS AMOS & JANET (Nee AMOS)

Any help would be greatly appreciated ... kjdhawick
