Hi, Thanks very much for the offer, please could you lookup a William and Margaret Rae in Yarrow for me just on the off chance as their daughter got married there in 1824. All I know is that William was a shepherd as it was on his daughter's death certificate.

hi boogie , not sure if i post this the correct way but would you mind looking for the following family they had been living at selkirk in 1851 so not sure how many of them are still living in yarrow all apparently born in yarrow. greatly appreciated kate lloyd

John Scott Born abt 1816 woolen worker born yarrow
margaret scott wife born abt 1814 roberton
walter scott son born abt 1837 yarrow
margaret scott born abt 1841

and possibly the parents of the above
Walter Scott born abt 1783 yarrow selkirk
Isabella Scott 1785 selkirk,

children : isabella scott born 1814 yarrow
                Andrew scott born 1818 yarrow
                 RObert scott born 1820 yarrow
                 James scott born 1822 Yarrow
                 margaret scott born 1824 yarrow
                  Catherine scott born 1826 yarrow

I am sure you are well aware that the Surname Scott,is quite visible in Yarrow Parish and elsewhere.

thanks for looking for my scott's yes scott's surname is everywhere. currently researching three diffrent scott lines.
Does look like they are there so must be in selkirk.

hi boogie, kate again was wondering if you mind looking for
walter scott's parents i don't know exactly when they are born but they are john scott and margaret scott. all i knowis  that john scott was a miller. walter scott had siblings and believe he was the oldest.
than there was robert scott 1785
 gideon scott 1787, john 1790.
