I am delighted David was able to help out.

I did indeed end up back in hospital, so a self imposed putter bann was enforced  ::).

Hopefully all behind me now.

Just glad you got a positive outcome.  ;)

So glad you all got you photos! I love OK Cemetery it is such a peaceful place & so many of my loved ones lie there in fact I would say we take up about a third of the cemetery going back to about 1877 with the earliest & the latest about 1990.
We are dotted about the place with some in the old part & lots in the new.I have never feared death or where I will lie because it will be in Old Kilpatrick facing the hills!

I will be at OK cemetery on Thursday, and guess what. I have found a descendant who lives in Lanark who we are going to meet.  :D
He is going to take us to the cemetery.
And other places.

It'll be great to meet a relative we have never meet before  ;)

Joette, could I ask you please to check for an Andrew Mor(r)ison, died 1811 in Old Kilpatrick Cemetery next time that you go?

Husband of Margaret Baird, father of William, Mary, Christian, Alexander and Andrew, if this helps ...

I finally got a clue to my Morrison brickwall, that his son, Andrew (b. Sep 1811 in O.K.) was born after he died so I would really appreciate you looking.

thanks,

Lindsay

No problem will possibly be there Sunday weather permitting.
Are you expecting headstone?I will try & track down when he was buried even if there isn't one but don't know how far back the records go!
Do your Morrisons have any later connection with Helensburgh, the Queens Printer in Scotland(in this case Queen Victoria) & Scandinavia?
I have a living Morrison connection by Marriage & this is in his line.

Thank you very much, Joette. Not sure about a headstone, probably unlikely as I think they were quite poor people but who knows?

I don't know of any connection to Helensburgh or the Queen's Printer ... I have quite a few Morrisons in the Old Kilpatrick/Duntocher area though.

regards,

Lindsay

Hi,
I am trying to trace the gravesite of a Mary Gillies from St Kilda, who died on May 26th 1930.
Her baby, Annie, died on the same day. I am told that she is buried in a paupers grave in Clydebank. Is there any way of tracing graves? Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Roger

Roger try Clydebank District Council @Roseberry Place Clydebank. They should have a list of who is buried where.
If you find out which one it is next time I am home will take photo of Cemetery.I have a feeling it will be Kilbowie.

I have had an e mail back.
There are 3 lairs which my ggg grandfather bought in the cemetery.
I now know who is buried in which lair, and I have now found my g grandmother who is buried there too.
I never knew when she died until now, so that is another death certificate I can order.

But her husband James Munn, who died 39 years after here is not buried in any of they lairs.
I cannot find him  ???

Pettsy

My gran's maiden name was Munn, from Drumchapel (right next to Duntocher). Her dad was Thomas Munn, and she has brothers so there are still a lot of Munns in Glasgow.
