Gater family research

I'm doing research into the Gater family of Salisbury.  James Gater 1840-1904 - goldsmith/jeweller.   Married twice, first wife Eliza, 1841-1880. Children:  James, Anthony, Matilda, Albert G, Edward, Mabel F.  No children born to second marriage, Elizabeth 1843-1912<pi>.  Anyone doing research into this family - would appreciate making contact.

I am not related to your family.

Have you managed to find the family in any of the census returns ? Perhaps if we know what you already know and what you are trying to  this information may give us a few ideas on what to try next.
