Hope you don't mind me popping in here:

Assuming Uffington is near Cound it would be worth further investigating.

Uffington is approximately 9 miles from Cound.

I don't know if this helps or not :-\

Hi Jan (the other one :)

The annoying part of my search is the fact that I only live about six miles away from where my genes to date came from, I live in Shrewsbury, Salop, my lot seem to originate from the surrouding villages,

Many thanks,
Pete.

p.s Ive got the Shrop par reg disc ( Heroford diocese ) here if you want a lookup.
Edwards, mainly Cound, Frodesely, Acton Burnell. Pitchford. and surrounding villages, Shropshire, /  Rowe, Cound, / Littlehales, Berrington, Shropshire / Radford, Dublin, /   Maguire, Acton Burnell, /  Rudge, Frodesely, /

Hi Pete
Re certificates they started in 1837, so you'd be able to get one for Margret as she died sometime after 1841. Before 1837 it will only be parish record entries but by 1800's age at death is usually included.
Happy hunting
Jan ;)

All of them in the Herford diocese, app 1530/1820 ,  ( although I do get confused trying to place the village to the parish )  ???

Feel free to ask Iwill do my best at this end.
