Hi Kate,

Hope you don't mind, Ive been playing about with Photoshop Elements today and thought I'd have a go at getting rid of some of the crease marks on your picture. I'm really not very good at dating pictures, but  I would guess maybe 1930s/1940s?  :)

Best wishes,
millerina

Hi, here's a quick clean-up using Photoshop - have a go yourself! I am only using the cloning tool really at the moment as I've only been trying this for a few weeks. Seems to work OK for covering blemishes and creases anyway.

Hi Kate,

I had a play at tidying up and couldn't resist a bit of colour - she's so sweet sitting there!  :)

I use Photoshop Elements and find it fits the bill for everything I need it to do.

Cheers
Prue

Hi Kate,
I wasn't sure about the red hair, but once I'd coloured her face that was the first colour hair that came to mind, and it seemed to fit her - I hope it's right!  ;D

If you have a B&W pic, you can turn it into colour by choosing "Mode" from the "Image" menu, and then choosing "RGB colour" or whatever other colour option there may be.  This works in Photoshop Elements - not sure about the full-on version, though.

I bought Elements because I just muck around in Photoshop and didn't need all the bells and whistles of the professional version - plus, it only cost me about $100 (Australian) as compared with several hundred for Photoshop CS2 full version.
 :)
