Llanbadarn Fawr is the correct WELSH spelling meaning, the 'great church of St Padarn'.   The Welsh for big or great is 'mawr' and for small is 'bach'
After certain words etc (details escape me not being a Welsh speaker) the initial letters mutate, or change so 'mawr' becomes 'fawr' and 'bach' becomes 'fach', as in Rhondda Fawr and Rhondda Fach.
Such are the vagaries of language  ;)

My great great grandmother lived in 10 Rheidol Place but never mentioned any Williamses  :)   She was there before they pulled it down to make room for sheltered accomodation - lovely view over the harbour.
