Trevor,

The Pier 21 office and museum is about 6 blocks from my office in downtown Halifax...

I will check with them to see what they may or may not have available for that year.

Trevor,

I was in the Pier 21 website and it does not appear that the record would be available to me.  Because of privacy laws here, only the people or their families can get the info dependant on whether the immigrants are alive or how long they have been gone.

They do offer framed photos of various ships and will personalize them for sale.  Note:  There were 4 versions of Ascania (A B C D).

This is the Pier 21 website.  The FAQ part addresses ships arriving here after 1935.

sorry

Hello there,
Surprised to see your post when I was looking for image of Ascania!! My mother and brother( who I never met) came to Halifax, after their visit back home in Liverpool. That is where my mother was born, married and then came to Canada. I have the passenger list for February, 1948. I am going to see if I can attach it here for you.

Apparently the picture of the passenger list is too large to attach.
I will be happy to send it by other means.
Have a good day

Not sure why this was originally posted on Ireland board but the Ascania left from Liverpool, England.

William Kerr-Taylor, wife Vivienne and 5 children (won't give their names since they could still be living) from Graniamore, Ballymote, Co. Sligo, Ireland sailed from Liverpool 1 Apr.1948.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Me again,

Perhaps if on your browser page,  you type in Cunard White Star Limited and Passenger List for 1948, for example, you may find what you are looking for.
There are many passenger lists available.

Good Luck
