Hya tinkertinker, for BMD and census returns you need Scotlands People. It's the official governent site, it's a pay per view but well worth it. If your Alexander married in 1906 then a search for his marriage cert should have his age, occupation, parents names etc. His death should have his spouse or widows name and the names of his parents.

Hi, Alexander Kilgour Pearson was my Grandfather. My father was James Pearson and we lived in East Wemyss for a number of years when my father worked at the mill. What sort of information are you interested in? I live in England now and find it difficult to find out information so would appreciate some help. Are you part of a historical society or is it a personal interest. Monpam

Hi. Have you ever traced your Kilgour ancestry? If my researches are correct, I had separate Kilgour lines in the parishes of Dysart and Wemyss(Methilhill). The name has been around in central and west Fife for centuries.
