Tuone?
« on: Monday 13 February 06 03:54 GMT (UK) »
To cut a long story short my great Grandfather PATRICK LOUGHLIN lists his birthplace as Tuone, Ireland on the 1901 Census.

A number of people i have asked have said i could be Tuam in Galway.

This would make sense as the family stance on it is the Loughlin's came over from Galway.

Just wondering if anyone had any other ideas

Thanks

Jonathan

Jonathan:
It is probably Tyrone. I believe the census asked for County of birth not town.
